Revive Social Enterprise
In mid-2017, Job Pathways established Revive in Kununurra to provide valued service to the community while creating meaningful employment opportunities for long-term unemployed people.
Revive operates as a ‘Waste to Wages’ social enterprise through an ‘intermediate labour market’ model. EKJP underpins all cost associated with operating the enterprise and utilises funds derived through the sale of products to directly employ vulnerable Aboriginal job seekers on a supported wage.
While on wages with REVIVE, job seekers are supported to gain skills and experience to obtain sustainable employment in the open labour market, which in turn creates opportunities for successive job seekers.
East Kimberley Job Pathways has a contract with the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley for exclusive rights to recover materials from the Waste Management Facilities in Kununurra and Wyndham.
Revive actively promotes the waste management principles through education programs and by creating awareness for our broader communities.
The REVIVE enterprise has been embraced by the local community with substantial positive comments on our Facebook Page and through coverage from print, television and social media. In August 2019, Revive was awarded the ‘Not for Profit Business of the Year’ at the East Kimberley Aboriginal Achievement Awards.
