We know our people and our communities have great strength and resilience.
Just as the East Kimberley is brought to life each year by the first drops of rain heralding our wet season, our people await a fair opportunity to be brought to life through meaningful training and work. Our people and communities have a strength of work and intimate knowledge of the East Kimberley and the opportunities it provides.
We continue to work closely with our community partners to reshape our service delivery approach to one which is enterprising and creates opportunities for economic stimulus and employment.
Our assets-based community development approach ensures Job Pathways –
- maintains focus on community assets and strengths rather than problems and needs;
- identifies and mobilises individual and community assets, skills and passions;
- service delivery and development prioritises a community driven approach by ‘building communities from the inside out’; and
- sustains a relationship driven approach to all interactions.
